Mississippi State LB Khalid Moore enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Mississippi State linebacker Khalid Moore has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. Moore will have multiple years of eligibility remaining.
Moore hardly saw the field during his two seasons in Starkville. He didn’t play as a true freshman in 2022, then appeared in five games in 2023.
Moore played high school football at Poplarville (Miss.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 586 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
With multiple years of eligibility remaining and plenty of tread left on the tire, Moore will surely find a landing spot in the portal, and he’s likely seeking one where he can play early and often.

A pair of Mississippi State offensive tackles entered the portal this week
Mississippi State offensive tackle Zay Alexander has entered his name into the transfer portal earlier this week.
Alexander spent one season in Starkville but didn’t appear in any games as a true freshman. This would’ve been his redshirt freshman season with the Bulldogs but, instead, he’ll be spending it elsewhere at another program.

Alexander, a native of Tupelo, Mississippi, played high school football at Tupelo. He was a three-star prospect there as the No. 539 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranked as a Top-40 OT in the class and the No. 10 player out of the state as well.
Along with Alexander, offensive tackle Jayden Hobson entered the NCAA transfer portal. He spent one year with the Bulldogs.
Hobson redshirted last season after not appearing in any games during the 2023 campaign. He originally chose Mississippi State over other schools like Southern Miss and West Virginia.
As a member of the Class of 2023, Hobson was a three-star recruit out of Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Hillcrest, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 66 overall prospect in the state, the No. 111 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 1,683 overall prospect in the class.
