WATCH: Mississippi State OF Dakota Jordan blasts a home run 474 feet
The Mississippi State Bulldogs pummeled the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks in baseball on Wednesday night, and outfielder Dakota Jordan only helped to pile it on in the bottom of the seventh inning. He belted a three-run home run blast that was launched 474 feet, to put the Bulldogs up 13-0.
Take a look at this swing below. He really swings hard at it and absolutely launches the baseball out of the stadium.
Mississippi State ended up dominating the Warhawks 14-3 on Wednesday night. Jordan’s three-run blast made the game 13-0. It was the first home run of his Mississippi State career. He also had three RBIs for the game.

Dakota Jordan was one of the most highly rated players in USA
According to Perfect Game, Jordan was ranked as the 69th best prospect in the country and the 17th ranked outfielder for the 2022 cycle. During the 2021-2022 season, Jordan was named the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. He was also ranked the No. 2 overall player in the state of Mississippi. A power hitter, he went on to break his high school’s multi-home run record. He had a chance to be selected in the 2022 MLB Draft coming out of high school. The gifted athlete was projected as the No. 427th best prospect in the draft, but he was ultimately undrafted.
A former two-sport star coming out of high school, Jordan also committed to play football for head coach Mike Leach a few years ago. When he suited up for Canton Academy, he hauled in 27 passes for 695 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. When he suited up for Jackson Academy, Jordan played receiver and running back, but got most of his game reps at slot receiver. He hauled in 49 catches for 876 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, along with rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
