Mississippi State has offered Garland (Texas) Naaman Forest four-star interior offensive lineman Markis Deal.
Deal ranks as the No. 92 prospect in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
On3 rates Deal as the No. 26 overall recruit in the 2023 On3 ranking. He is the second-highest rated interior offensive lineman behind Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star lineman Francis Mauigoa and the second-best player from Texas behind Allen (Texas) High five-star defensive lineman David Hicks.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said Deal impressed him in the lead-up to the release of the updated On300 ranking last fall.
“We came into this update looking for top offensive linemen to emerge and several did,” Power said in late October. “Deal is an explosive mover and makes a bunch of big plays on both sides of the ball. We ultimately see him as an interior offensive lineman.”
The Bulldogs have two commits in the 2023 cycle in Bay Springs (Miss.) four-star linebacker Ty Jones and Lexington (Miss.) Holmes County EDGE Joseph Head.
