WATCH: Mississippi State slugger Kellum Clark absolutely destroys home run to center field
In the Mississippi State–Cal baseball game on Sunday afternoon, Bulldogs slugger Kellum Clark absolutely destroyed a home run to deep center field. With the Bulldogs leading 5-4 in the top of the 8th inning, Clark took a pitch from Cal’s Christian Becerra and launched it into the stratosphere. The ball officially traveled 462 feet, and you can see it land behind the white fence area behind the stadium.

Mississippi State ended up defeating California today, 8-4, and Clark’s two-run blast to deep center field was a big part of creating some more breathing room between the two teams at the end.
The home run was his only hit in five at bats on Sunday, but he certainly made it count. Bulldogs’ pitcher Nate Dohm helped to the close out the victory. He entered a tied game in the fifth inning, holding the Golden Bears scoreless for the rest of the contest. Dohm fired six strikeouts and only allowed one hit to California in five complete innings of work.
Not surprisingly, Clark is one of the best power hitters on the Bulldogs’ roster. In 55 games during the 2022 season, he belted 14 home runs as a sophomore. His fielding percentage was perfect. His freshman year with Mississippi State, he hit five home runs and drove in 16 RBIs.
