Mississippi State Bulldogs wide receiver Creed Whittemore plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Creed Whittemore played high school football at F. W. Buchholz (FL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 305 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Moreover, Whittemore spent two seasons in Starkville. Over that time, he’s amassed 15 receptions for 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, he’s rushed five times for 101 yards and two touchdowns, as well.

Evidently, he’ll be looking for more opportunities, wherever he ends up. Creed Whittemore was offered by a myriad of Florida-based schools at the time of his decision to join the Bulldogs, and perhaps a return to his home state could be an option.

On the other hand, Mississippi State just finished a nightmare season in Jeff Lebby’s first year on the job. The Bulldogs ended their campaign 2-10, along with going 0-8 within the SEC. Their lone wins in 2024 came against Eastern Kentucky in Week 1, and a November clash with Massachusetts.
