Riley Kugel, 2022 combo guard, commits to Mississippi State
Riley Kugel, a 6-foot-4 combo guard out of Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips has committed to Mississippi State basketball for the class of 2022, he tells On3.
Kugel is the Bulldogs’ second commitment of the class, following JUCO transfer Jaykwon Walton. Walton started his career at Georgia.

Mississippi State is also targeting Mason Manning, Kimani Hamilton, Sam Murray, among others.
Kugel ultimately chose Mississippi State over Houston, Auburn, Florida Gulf Coast, Miami, and the Overtime Elite league. He also received offers from Virginia Tech, MTSU, FAU, Coastal Carolina, among others.

“I picked this school because it just felt like home,” Kugel said. “I love the coaching staff and how they develop players. I feel like i could do big things at this school.”
