Former Texas Tech offensive lineman Jacoby Jackson has committed to Mississippi State, via the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Jackson spent three seasons with the Red Raiders, making 27 appearances. He played all 13 games for the Red Raiders in the 2023 campaign. Boosted by Jackson’s protection, Texas Tech’s front five only allowed 1.85 sacks per game this past season.

Further, the team averaged 162.8 rushing yards per contest. Jackson played in 12 of Texas Tech’s 13 games as a redshirt freshman in 2022. He started in six games of the contest. After appearing in two games during his true freshman season, Jackson opted to redshirt.

Standing at 6-foot-6, 320 pounds, Jackson boasts professional size. He is only the latest addition in an impressive incoming transfer class at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs currently have 13 incoming transfers.

Jackson played high school football at Mansfield Summit (Texas), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 701 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
