Hermann (Mo.) High four-star EDGE Daeden Hopkins has committed to Missouri.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pounder chose the Tigers over Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and Penn State among others.

“The thing that catch my eyes the most is the quality of the coaching staff,” Hopkins told On3’s Steve Wiltfong recently. “When looking for a school one of the biggest things for me are the coaches.”

Hopkins visited the Tigers the weekend of April 26 and ultimately decided to pull the trigger on a commitment. He’s expected to return to Columbia in June for his official visit.

In addition to the Tigers’ coaching staff, he loves the opportunity to play close to home for his local school.

“Team culture is important to me and the proximity to home is also very appealing,” Hopkins said. “They are only an hour from home.”

Hopkins is the No. 345 overall prospect and No. 33 EDGE in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

As a junior, he notched 67 total tackles, to go along with nine sacks and five pass deflections. On offense, he totaled 691 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns as well.
