Destrehan (La.) three-star wide receiver Daniel Blood announced his commitment to Missouri on Thursday. He chose the Tigers over Louisiana, Memphis and Tulane among others.

Blood is the No. 1,585 overall prospect and No. 242 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 57 player in Louisiana.

On3 rates Blood higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Blood is the No. 235 wide receiver in the country.

“I visited Mizzou this summer and had a great talk with (wide receivers) coach (Jacob) Peeler,” Blood told On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “I really appreciate the offer & love the school and campus.”

A 6-foot-0, 180-pound wideout, Blood has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
