Missouri DL Johnny Walker Jr. ejected after reportedly spitting on someone
Missouri defensive lineman Johnny Walker Jr. was ejected from a contest against LSU in the third quarter following a second penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Walker Jr. was seen kicking a player as he was trying to get out from under a pile in the first half and was assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
It was unclear on a TV broadcast of the play in question on the second flag what exactly drew the unsportsmanlike conduct flag. LSU picked up 15 yards on a Logan Diggs run up the middle before the flag hit the turf.
According to beat writer Eli Hoff for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a hot mic caught a ref explaining to Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz that Walker had spit on somebody.
Walker had logged three tackles in the contest prior to his ejection.
LSU-Missouri turning into a shootout
The game between LSU and Missouri started off with a bang, Johnny Walker Jr.’s status notwithstanding. Missouri scored on its opening three drives to open up a 22-7 lead on the Tigers.

LSU has battled back nicely, with quarterback Jayden Daniels putting together yet another terrific game. As of early in the fourth quarter, Daniels had gone 10-of-15 passing for 173 yards with two touchdowns, while also rushing 10 times for 62 yards.
But Daniels was injured early in the fourth quarter, forcing backup quarterback Garrett Nussmeier into the game.
The Tigers were forced to settle for a field goal attempt after Nussmeier came in down in the red zone, keeping LSU behind in the contest. After the 29-yard field goal was missed it was 32-27 Missouri.
Missouri has been led by quarterback Brady Cook, who has gone 23-of-33 passing for 273 yards with two touchdowns and one interception to this point, at 13:25 in the fourth quarter. His interception ended an SEC record streak of 366 passes thrown without an interception.
