Former Missouri star William Moore was arrested and jailed on aggravated assault charges, along with a few other counts.

According to a report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Moore was arrested after shooting at and hitting a car with a woman and two children inside. There were no injuries from the incident.

The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. ET on Sunday at Alexander Park in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Moore, a former Atlanta Falcons standout, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of third-degree cruelty to children, one count of second-degree criminal property damage and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

During his playing days, Moore earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2012.

He was originally a second-round draft pick out of Missouri, going at No. 55 overall to the Atlanta Falcons. Moore quickly had a big impact there, earning Pro Bowl status by the time he was a fourth-year player in 2012.

He resigned with Atlanta after his rookie deal was up, playing three more seasons with the organization for a total of seven years in the NFL.

Moore recorded 364 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 16 interceptions and 36 passes defended in seven seasons.

Before his NFL playing days, Moore was a star at Missouri.

As a junior in 2007, Moore earned first-team All-American honors and second-team All-Big 12 recognition. He finished his college career with 284 tackles, 3.0 sacks and 11 interceptions. He returned four of his interceptions for touchdowns, setting a school record.

Before he was recently arrested, William Moore had had two other run-ins with the law. One was a traffic-related incident in 2011, while the other was a 2013 arrest on simple battery charges.

Police said Moore got into an argument with a woman that led to him throwing her phone on the ground and grabbing her by the shoulder.
