With June official visits in the past and the midway point of the recruiting calendar here, On3 has updated its recruiting rankings for the 2025 class. Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford quarterback and Missouri commit Matt Zollers is the No. 11 overall prospect and a new five-star in the 2025 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 15 five-star prospects, up five from the previous update in April. Of those 15 five-stars, nine are already committed to college programs. Evaluations are far from over as prospects gear up for their senior seasons on the gridiron.

The 6-foot-3.5, 200-pounder pledged to Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers on April 4, choosing the SEC program over Penn State, Pitt and Georgia. He headlines Mizzou’s 2025 class and is also an On3 Industry five-star.

“My connections at Missouri were just greater than they were anywhere else,” Zollers told On3 upon his commitment. “This was a really tough decision for me to make. I Ultimately decided this morning.”

Last month, Zollers was one of 20 quarterbacks who competed in the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles. He was named a top performer by On3 following his performance across the three-day event.

“Zollers flashed high-end arm strength and plus movement skills at the Elite 11 Finals,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “He had his best day on Day 3, finishing on target on 18 of 27 passes for six touchdowns and two interceptions. No quarterback pushed the ball downfield more. Zollers displayed a gunslinger mentality and was not shy about letting it fly, finishing with the most touchdown drives of the day.”

Scout’s Take on Matt Zollers

On3 writes this of Zollers as a prospect:

“Zollers looked like the top playmaker among 2025 quarterbacks on junior film and has long been our No. 2 quarterback in the On300 rankings. In getting to see him at the Elite 11 Finals, the physical tools are readily apparent. He showed a live, loose arm. He has also flashed his high end movement skills and athleticism just within drills that show from a physical talent perspective, he checks the boxes. There are areas for improvement, which is not singular to him among the top quarterback group. He can contine polishing up his consistency, which as one of the few multi-sport athletes in that group is to be expected. We are very high on his long-term upside and potential. And ultimately for us, the basis of our evaluations and the junior film are outstanding.”
