Missouri center Talan Chandler plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to an announcement on his Facebook. He has four years of eligibility left.

Chandler originally committed to Colorado out of high school. However, he flipped to Missouri in November of 2023, but spent just one season with the Tigers.

As a member of the Class of 2024, Chandler was a three-star recruit out of Nevada (Mo.) High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 13 overall prospect in the state, the No. 70 interior offensive lineman in the class and the No. 801 overall prospect in the class.

Chandler is the latest player on Missouri planning to go into the portal. Linebacker Mikai Gbayor will do the same, as announced going into the weekend.

Gbayor was a starter for Nebraska, prior to going to Missouri, and totaled 73 tackles, three pass breakups and 1.5 sacks across two seasons. During the 2024 season, he played in all 12 regular season games for Nebraska and totaled 49 total tackles (20 solo), a sack, three PBU’s and two fumble recoveries. He will have two years of eligibility remaining to play for his next program.

Before college, the Irvington, NJ native was a three-star recruit out of the 2021 recruiting class, per the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. Gbayor was the No. 638 overall player in his class, the No. 64 linebacker overall and the No. 13 player out of the state of New Jersey.
