Missouri HC Eli Drinkwitz trolls Arkansas after landing former Razorbacks commit
Missouri has had Arkansas’ number in recent years on the football field, and on Tuesday, the Tigers got another one over on the Razorbacks on the recruiting trail.
Four-star Pine Bluff (Ark.) wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield chose Eli Drinkwitz and Co. over Arkansas, LSU and others. It was a major addition late in the recruiting cycle for the Tigers. And Drinkwitz wasted no time holding it over Arkansas’ head.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Drinkwitz posted a GIF of him celebrating while Mizzou was up 41-0 on the Razorbacks during their meeting on the field last month.
Crutchfield was a longtime Arkansas commit before backing off that pledge in early November. The Tigers, who were one of the first schools to offer him as a recruit, pounced on the opportunity. They hosted him for a game and then brought him back last weekend for an official visit, which sealed the deal.
Relationships helped Tigers win out
“It was a tough decision to make and not to go to Arkansas, but sometimes things are tough and you have to make tough decisions,” he told On3. “I had to look at the big picture and that is why I chose Missouri.”
The 6-foot-0, 170-pounder now joins his Pine Bluff teammate, three-star running back Austyn Dendy, in the fold in Columbia. He is also the Tigers third and latest commit out of the Natural State, alongside Dendy and Jonesboro Valley View four-star linebacker Brian Huff.

“Missouri was the first SEC school to offer me and they have been with me throughout the entire process,” he added. “They offered me after my junior season, and Coach Al Davis has been recruiting me hard, too.”
Crutchfield is the No. 93 overall prospect and No. 20 wideout in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Arkansas.
