The month of April has very kind to Missouri‘s football program, and that continued on Wednesday night.

First, the Tigers landed a commitment from former SMU offensive tackle Marcus Bryant, a top transfer portal target. A few hours later, Eli Drinkwitz and Co. struck again in the high school recruiting ranks by land four-star Eureka (Mo.) offensive tackle Jack Lange.

The 6-foot-8, 275-pounder chose Missouri over Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska and a host of other programs, giving the Tigers their third four-star commitment this month.

His addition also moved Mizzou even further up the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings from No. 22 nationally to No. 19. The class also ranks No. 10 in the SEC.

“It’s close to home,” Lange told On3’s Chad Simmons of his decision to commit now. “When I think of what I want in a college town, campus, academics and football, it’s everything that I want and I’m really excited to be a part of it. I’ve been told by Missouri’s coaches that I’m going to be a pillar in this recruiting class. I want to be able to help bring guys in and build this class up to something that’s really special. With me and Matt Zollers, I think we can really turn this thing into something that’s going to be great.”

Lange believes that the Tigers are not slowing down anytime soon, which is a key reason why he wants to be a part of what Drinkwitz is building. The No. 1 player in Missouri is also excited about the opportunity to represent the Show-Me State on the field in front of his family and friends.

“I truly believe that Mizzou has everything that I want in a school,” said Lange, the No. 179 overall prospect and No. 13 offensive tackle in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. “It’s the home state school. I’ve grown up around it. It’s a dream come true.”

Tigers rolling along, looking for more commitments in the near future

The Tigers have now landed four commitments in the month of April, headlined by elite 2025 quarterback Matt Zollers, the No. 13 overall prospect in the On300 rankings. They’ve also made some major hay on the defensive side of the ball, landing three-star defensive lineman Jason Dowell, four-star linebacker Dante McClellan and three-star edge rusher Joshua Lewis.

Drinkwitz and his staff are building a lot of juice on the trail right now, and also look to be in strong contention with other key targets.

St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Corey Simms recently narrowed his list of more than 30 offers down to a 12 schools. Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee and USC made the cut, but there’s one team trending in the On3 Recruiting Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) as it stands today. And that’s the in-state Tigers.

Another St. Louis area prospect, three-star linebacker Jason King, is trending toward Missouri as well.

“Missouri is recruiting me hard,” he told Simmons. Everyone on the staff is recruiting me and I have been there a lot. It is the in-state school, so I have good relationships there and they have made me a priority. I like their defense, how they play in the SEC and the program is doing really well. It is a school I like a lot.”
