Missouri’s momentum on the field is undeniable with the Tigers headed to a New Year’s Six bowl, but the Tigers’ focus is also on adding to a class that ranks among the top-30 nationally in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Eli Drinkwitz and Co. just added a commitment from one of the top junior college players in the country in Baton Rouge (La.) East Ascension offensive tackle Jayven Richardson. And now they’re trending for another massive addition, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

Following an expert prediction in the Tigers’ favor from Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, Missouri is trending to land Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek four-star safety Trajen Greco.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder visited the Tigers last weekend and announced his decommitment from Georgia Tech on Saturday.

“It’s all positive. I’m thankful for the opportunity I got with Georgia Tech,” Greco told Simmons. “It’s nothing personal, really, I feel like I rushed my decision in June and I didn’t give myself the chance to explore enough opportunities and stuff. So I want to be able to get out of my comfort zone, view some other places and just face the challenge, really, to be honest.”

Tigers pushing to add another coveted prospect

Eli Drinkwitz and his program started showing interest in the No. 240 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings in October,” Simmons wrote on Saturday. “They came through with an offer on Oct. 31. The communication took off from there, he took a trip to Columbia and the SEC program is trending.

… I have logged a prediction for Missouri on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. An official visit to Missouri is tentatively set for the weekend of Dec. 15-17. Kentucky and Tulane are schools to watch and Greco is not ruling anyone out yet. Missouri has emerged as the team to beat.”

The Tigers already hold the No. 29 class in the team rankings, led by Five-Star Plus+ EDGE and Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri. Should they add Greco, they’ll move closer to a top-25 class with a few more targets still on the board.

Included in that group are four-star wide receiver Courtney Crutchfield, Ohio State four-star wide receiver commit Jeremiah McClellan, and four-star running backs Derrick McFall and J’Marion Burnette.

On3 rates Greco higher than every other major recruiting service. He is the No. 126 overall prospect in the 2024 On300, the No. 9 safety and No. 15 recruit from Georgia.
