Top Missouri flip target predicts Tigers will land 5-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo

Missouri has its eyes set on adding not one but two elite wide receivers to its 2024 football recruiting class.
The Tigers already have a commitment from four-star wideout James Madison II, but are looking to bring two St. Louis products into the mix as well with five-star Ryan Wingo and four-star Jeremiah McClellan.
The former is set to announce his decision on October 25 with Missouri among the finalists, as well as Texas, Tennessee and others. But McClellan told Rivals.com that he believes it will Missouri that lands Wingo.
“I would say it’s probably M-I-Z, man. Stay home and people love you, stay home and STP,” McClellan said. STP stands for “Something to Prove,” the motto the Tigers have used all season.
Tigers trending right now for Wingo
After trailing Texas slightly in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) last month, the Tigers now hold the lead in the race to land Wingo. That follows a recent prediction from Texas recruiting insider Gerry Hamilton, as well as On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman, who put in a pick for Eli Drinkwitz and Co. back in mid-August.
Wingo took an official visit to Columbia this summer, watched the Tigers play Memphis in St. Louis and was also in attendance earlier this month when the hosted LSU. He is also expected to be back in Columbia this weekend for the Tigers’ game against South Carolina.

All told, he’s been to Missouri nearly a dozen times as a recruit.
“Missouri is my home-state school and it is close to home. I know a lot of people up there and their pitch to me is to stay home. It is close to St. Louis and the main message from the players and the coaches is to stay home and represent your city,” Wingo told On3’s Chad Simmons last month.
Missouri and Oregon are high on McClellan’s list
Meanwhile, Ohio State is going to have to work to keep McClellan in this class. At least that is what Eli Drinkwitz and Dan Lanning hope. Both programs are still in this race and Drinkwitz would love nothing more that to keep the No. 4 prospect in the Show Me State home.
“Missouri has really jumped back in this race,” McClellan said. “I was back on campus for the LSU game and they just wanted me to know that I am still wanted. The coaches want the St. Louis kids to stay home and go to Missouri. That is their message to me.”
McClellan likes the atmosphere in Columbia. Everyone knows him, he has a strong connection with the staff and he likes the offense.
