Missouri OT commit Lamont Rogers earns 5-star ranking from On3
Mesquite (Texas) Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers continues to rack up the honors as high school career comes to a close.
On Monday, Rogers received a five-star rating from On3, one of just 25 prospects in the nation to do so. He checks in as the nation’s No. 16 overall recruit and No. 5 offensive tackle in the latest update.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pounder has been committed to Missouri since July 6 and is the Tigers’ lone five-star pledge this cycle.
“He is one of the most physically gifted offensive tackles in the 2025 cycle,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said. “He measures in at close to 6’7 and 310 pounds with elite length and a big frame. He is a top athlete at that size. You can see the high-end movement skills on his senior film. He’s a twitched up, explosive mover. And he is highly physical at the point of attack. Rogers is a three-sport athlete who hasn’t spent a ton of time focusing on football. So he has always been a prospect who needed to develop from a technical standpoint. We’ve seen him make very encouraging progress there as a senior. And in addition to being a violent people-mover in the run game, he’s been outstanding in pass protection as well. Not only that, he has fared well against top competition this fall.”
With the bump, Rogers also maintains his status as a five-star prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Texas A&M trending to flip Rogers from Missouri
Despite his longtime commitment to the Tigers, Rogers has been at Texas A&M on multiple occasions this fall. And the home state team is working hard to flip him.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the Aggies are actually the favorite to do so after an expert pick from VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong.
“The Missouri commit could be back in College Station this weekend, and if he makes it, the Aggies will continue to push hard to flip him from the Tigers,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons said last week. “The buzz remains positive around Mike Elko‘s program to land the five-star offensive tackle out of Mesquite.”
