Missouri players Noah Carter, Mabor Majak out vs Arkansas due to health and safety precautions
Two Missouri basketball players have been ruled out against Arkansas Wednesday night. Noah Carter and Mabor Majak will both miss the matchup due to health and safety precautions, the Tigers announced.
Carter has had quite an impact in his first season with Mizzou after transferring in from Northern Iowa. He ranks third on the Tigers’ roster with 10.7 points per game while also averaging 4.7 rebounds per game this year.
Majak has only played in four games this season after transferring from Cleveland State, where he played under current Missouri coach Dennis Gates before joining him in Columbia.
Missouri brings a 13-4 overall record into Wednesday’s game, but is 2-3 in SEC action. The Tigers are coming off back-to-back losses to Texas A&M and Florida and previously lost to Arkansas Jan. 4. Wednesday night’s game between Missouri and Arkansas tips off at 9 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
Arkansas is also struggling, though, losing four of its last five games entering Wednesday’s game. Most recently, the Razorbacks fell to Vanderbilt in a game filled with emotions Jan. 14.

Razorbacks coach Eric Musselman addressed his team’s recent rough patch in a press conference this week, saying injuries have been a factor.
“We spent a whole summer going in one direction, and then, unfortunately for everybody, is the injuries and so we’re an offseason and first eight [to] 10 games, we’ve lost all that for what this roster is right now,” Musselman said.
“So, we’re still trying to figure all that out. We’re a sport where we have five players on the floor and not having two dominant players that we spent a lot of time on has affected the team, but our job as players and coaching staff is continue to try and figure out what puts us in the best position to win a game.”
