Last season, in the backup role, Cook saw limited action for the Tigers. He recorded stats in two regular season games; playing briefly against Southeastern Missouri and most of the second-half in the Tigers’ 43-6 beat down at the hands of the eventual national champions Georgia Bulldogs. But his first start of the season came against the Army Black Knights in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl. Cook had an impressive performance going 27 of 34 for 238 yards and a touchdown against Army. Unfortunately, his solid play was not enough as the Tigers fell 24-22 Black Knights.

Abraham joined the Tigers via the transfer portal after spending three seasons with the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. At Southern Mississippi, he passed for over 7000 yards with a near 70 percent completion percentage, 41 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions.
