Missouri standout running back Nate Noel, who has been listed as questionable on the injury report this week, is currently trending toward being able to play against Auburn, according to Matt Zenitz of 247sports.com. He was listed as questionable on the Thursday injury report.
Noel has 79 carries this year for 471 yards and two touchdowns this year. As a receiver, he has hauled in 14 catches for 45 receiving yards. His best game this year was against the Vanderbilt Commodores, 24 carries for 199 yards.
Having him back in the lineup on Saturday would be massive for the Missouri offensive attack. Here is the full injury report for the Auburn-Missouri matchup on Saturday. Later in the evening on Friday night, Noel was listed as probable.

Auburn is in need of this one considering they’re already at 2-4 overall, including at 0-3 in the SEC. They have yet to beat a power opponent with their only wins being over Alabama A&M and New Mexico and their four losses, three of which were at home, being to California and then now a losing skid to open conference play in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Georgia. If it’s not already, bowl-eligibility would be in major jeopardy without a win in one of their two games left in October.
Missouri also could use this victory in order to legitimize itself again in the Southeastern Conference. Despite still being in the Top-25, Mizzou has had issue in their three games against actual opponents, including a double-overtime win over Vanderbilt and then a 31-point blowout loss to Texas A&M. Ahead of a trip to Tuscaloosa, a win over Auburn to at least be at 6-1 when they play the Crimson Tide would be important for the Tigers.
