Ohio State 4-star WR commit Jeremiah McClellan visiting Missouri
Missouri is looking to improve to 6-0 with what would be a huge win over LSU in Columbia. Not only would a win legitimately launch the Tigers into the conversation in the SEC East, it would go a long way with the host of recruits in attendance this weekend.
That list of prospects includes Saint Louis Christian Brothers four-star wide receiver and Ohio State commit Jeremiah McClellan. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder chose the Buckeyes over Mizzou and Oregon on Aug. 13, but Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers’ staff aren’t giving up on the wideout.
McClellan is alongside the likes of Saint Louis University five-star WR Ryan Wingo and Lee’s Summit North Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Williams Nwaneri — Missouri’s top-ranked commit. McClellan is the No. 82 overall prospect and No. 15 WR in the 2024 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
This is the second game visit that McClellan has taken since his pledge to Ohio State, as he was in Eugene visiting Oregon on Sept. 23. In the most recent On300 rankings, McClellan was one of the nation’s biggest stock-risers and now checks in as On3’s No. 12 wideout.
In total, McClellan has made seven documented trips to Columbia, including an official visit at the end of May. It was an official visit to Ohio State the next month that locked in his pledge to Ryan Day, WRs coach Brian Hartline and the Buckeyes, however.

“I knew after my official visit that I was going to Ohio State,” McClellan told On3. “I was talking to Marvin Harrison Jr., I listened to Coach Hartline and I felt that culture one last time and I knew.
“Going into that visit, Ohio State was up there, but so was Missouri and Oregon. I liked all three schools a lot, but Ohio State is the one. I had that feeling.”
McClellan has an On3 NIL Valuation of $129K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Jeremiah McClellan Scouting Summary
“Jeremiah McClellan is a player that On3 had the benefit of seeing light the football field on fire during the summer. McClellan was unstoppable during the OT7 7-on-7 Finals and has stacked some dominant film as a senior upon that summer performance,” wrote On3’s Cody Bellaire. “He continues to prove his versatility as an offensive weapon. McClellan can win in the slot with his twitch and change of direction and he can win on the outside with his route running and ability to push the field vertically. He’s also a menace with the football making defenders whiff tackles in open space and is a physical runner. McClellan is proving he can be a threat to defenses no matter where he lines up.”
