On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Missouri grabs lead for Marvin Burks Jr.

St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter College Prep four-star safety Marvin Burks Jr. is down to five schools in his recruitment: LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.
For most of the summer, it’s the Rebels who have been trending to land one of the Show-Me State’s top players. But the tide has turned recently in favor of the home-state Tigers, with the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) reflecting exactly that.
After previously giving Ole Miss better than a 90 percent chance to secure Burks’ commitment, the RPM now slightly favors Missouri, putting the Tigers’ odds at 51.0 percent. That follows updated predictions from around the recruiting industry.
Burks made official visits this summer to Missouri, Texas A&M and Ole Miss, and he returned to see the Tigers again for an unofficial visit earlier this month. Missouri has made in-state prospects a major priority again this cycle, with five of the program’s 11 commits hailing from inside the state.
