Rising 3-star cornerback Amare Snowden offered by Missouri
After adding nine offers in the month of January and two more in February, Roseville (Mich.) cornerback Amare Snowden is starting March off hot with an offer from Missouri and new defensive backs coach Al Pogue.
Snowden is the No. 403 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 42 cornerback and the No. 8 junior prospect in Michigan.
“Beyond blessed to have received an offer from the University of Missouri,” Snowden wrote on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder has north of two dozen offers to his name, including Iowa, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Boston College, Notre Dame and Penn State.
With 7v7 kicking off in January and other training sessions keeping Snowden busy during the month, he wasn’t able to take any visits. He has been talking to a lot of coaches and establishing some strong relationships.
Snowden took in games at Cincinnati and Penn State during the season and each made a strong impression.

“The Cincinnati program is on the rise,” Snowden told On3’s Chad Simmons. “They had a great year, game-day there was nice, and I liked it a lot.
“I have looked up to Ahmad Gardner and Coby Bryant, so I watched them in pre-game up close and they are special. Some compare me to “Sauce” (Gardner), so that was one of my favorite parts of the visit.
”I was at Penn State for the White Out game against Auburn and that was great too. I was able to see my guys from Detroit, Jaylen Reed, Kobe King, and Kalen King before the game. … Talking to Coach Poindexter was nice, too. He is always building me up, and he talked to me in a different way. He is always proud when I get offers and he jokes with me a lot. We have a good relationship.”
Amare Snowden would like to start narrowing his list down in the spring and make a decision before the season starts in August. He is the 10th cornerback Missouri has offered in the 2023 cycle.
