Top transfer Isiaih Mosley commits to Missouri, Dennis Gates
Isiaih Mosley, the No. 1 player in On3’s transfer portal rankings, has committed to Missouri, he tells On3.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Missouri State was one of only three DI players in the last 20 years to shoot 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three, and 90 percent from the free-throw line while averaging 20 points per game.
Landing Mosley is colossal for Dennis Gates in his first year with the Mizzou program. He is the Tigers biggest commitment since Michael Porter Jr. in 2017.
A Columbia, MO native, Mosley was one of the hottest commodities in the transfer portal this off-season. He ultimately chose the hometown Tigers over Kansas, Texas Tech, Mississippi State, Kansas State, and others.
During the 2021-22 season, Mosley averaged 20.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, all while shooting 50-percent from the floor and 42-percent from three. While at Missouri State, he was first-team All-Missouri Valley (MVC) each of the last two seasons. He led the MVC in scoring both years. He also finished top-ten in the conference in rebounds and steals per game.
Mosley talks commitment to Mizzou
Mizzou head coach Dennis Gates and assistant Kyle Smithpeters led the charge in the recruitment of Mosley, who’s considered a five-star transfer. Mosley discussed how his relationship with the coaching staff, led to him choosing the Tigers.
“I chose MU because I love the coaching staff,” Mosley said to On3. “They are all great people that want to push me to the next level.

Born and raised in Columbia, Mosley grew up just down the road from Mizzou’s campus.
“I also chose MU because my family is right here and I want to play my last year in a place that means something to me.
“Growing up I used to watch MU all the time. I loved watching Marcus Denmon and Jordan Clarkson go to work. It just felt right to come back home.”
Missouri’s newcomers
Mosley becomes the sixth player to have joined Mizzou via the transfer portal this offseason. He joins Tre Gomillion and D’Moi Hodge from Cleveland State, DeAndre Gholston from Milwaukee, Nick Honor from Clemson, and Noah Carter from Northern Iowa.
Missouri also signed Mohamed Diarra from Garden City Community College and Sean East from John A. Logan Junior College. Last but not least is high school senior, four-star Aidan Shaw.
