Washington State DB transfer Stephen Hall commits to Missouri
Former Washington State starting defensive back Stephen Hall has committed to Missouri, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Hall has one year of eligibility to play for Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers. He was highly recruited during his stay in the portal, receiving offers from the likes of Ole Miss and Florida before committing to Missouri.
Hall totaled 70 tackles across his two seasons of production at Washington State. He logged 50 of those this past season, along with the first interception of his career. He returned the interception 100 yards during the season opener on Aug. 31 against Portland State.
He followed that up with the best tackling performance of his season, logging 11 (eight solo) during a 37-16 win over Texas Tech in Week 2. After that, he became one of the most consistent tacklers on the team. He finished fifth overall on the defensive roster in tackles in 2024.
Hall began his college career at Northwest Mississippi Community College before transferring to Washington State in 2023.
Before college, Hall was a three-star recruit, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 43 cornerback in the class of 2020.
The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.
