5-star safety KJ Bolden picks up NC State offer
Buford (Ga.) five-star safety KJ Bolden has picked up an offer from NC State.
He is the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $153k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Bolden competed at the OT7 tournament last week and On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power was impressed by his performance.

“KJ Bolden ranks as the No. 1 safety in the 2024 On300 and looks the part at the position,” Power said. “He’s lining up deep for Hustle Inc. and has shown good range and feel for the position. Bolden looks to have a good understanding of coverage.”
Bolden caught up On3’s Chad Simmons in Las Vegas and provided an update on his recruitment.
“I’m dropping my top 13 in late July, early August so we’ll see from there,” Bolden said. “But I want to be committed before my senior season so I don’t have to like worry about other people committing and getting in the way of that.””
