Charlotte (N.C.) West offensive tackle Darion Rivers has committed to North Carolina State, he announced Thursday night.
Rivers is the No. 316 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 23 offensive tackle and the No. 11 prospect in North Carolina.

On3 is a bit higher on Rivers than the rest of the recruiting industry. In the most recent On300 released earlier this week, Rivers checked in as the country’s No. 278 prospect and No. 22 offensive tackle.
The 6-foot-6, 255-pounder is the Wolf Pack’s second commitment in the 2023 class, joining three-star Wake Forest (N.C.) quarterback Lex Thomas. Rivers chose N.C. State over an offer from Liberty and interest from Clemson, Appalachian State and others.
