Houston Cougars transfer guard Terrance Arceneaux has committed to NC State, On3 has learned. He spent three seasons with the Big 12 squad. Now, he’s headed to the ACC with the Wolfpack.

Arceneaux had his best season yet during Houston’s runner-up 2024-25. He averaged 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds across 40 appearances. Now, he’ll be hoping to take another step forward with NC State next season.

Moreover, Arceneaux played high school basketball at Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 42 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Meanwhile, former Michigan State guard Tre Holloman has committed to Will Wade and NC State out of the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. Holloman orginally entered the portal on April 1 after spending three seasons playing for Tom Izzo and the Spartans.

He made 37 appearances and 16 starts this season. Holloway averaged 9.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 23.1 minutes per game while shooting 37.3% from the field and 32.9% from beyond the arc.

Holloman was instrumental to the Spartans’ run to the Elite Eight. He scored double figures in three of Michigan State’s four NCAA Tournament games. However, Holloman would go 0-10 from the field, scoring just two points against the Auburn Tigers in what would end up being his final game played for the Spartans.

Holloman’s most memorable moment from this season was in MSU’s 58-55 win over Maryland on Feb. 26. In the Big Ten showdown, Holloman launched a prayer from beyond halfcourt at the buzzer and sunk it as time expired to boost MSU to victory. It’s a moment that Spartans fans won’t soon forget.

Overall, Holloman totaled 106 appearances and 18 starts during his time in East Lansing. He saw action in his freshman and sophomore seasons as well, but didn’t contribute nearly as much as he did this season. Holloman was also one of two team captains for MSU this season.

Before stepping foot on campus, Tre Holloman played high school basketball at Cretin-Derham Hall, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 99 overall player and No. 18 point guard in the 2022 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
