NC State 4-star WR commit Jonathan Paylor scores 7 TDs in blowout
Burlington (N.C.) Hugh M Cummings four-star wide receiver Jonathan Paylor is NC State‘s highest-ranked commitment in the 2024 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
As the Wolfpack look for a spark on the gridiron this season, they continue to await the arrival of the blue-chipper next year, who could figure to be a part of Dave Doeren’s offense as a freshman if he keeps performing like he did last night.
In an easy 63-0 victory for Cummings, Paylor was the star of the show, compiling seven touchdowns. He tallied six of the scores and 297 yards on the ground while also compiling 60 yards and a TD as a receiver, per unofficial stats from The Wolfpacker’s Ethan McDowell.
Paylor is the No. 174 overall prospect and No. 29 wideout in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in North Carolina.
The Wolfpack beat out South Carolina for the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder. It was an official visit to Raleigh in June that helped NC State separate itself from the Gamecocks.
“After the official visit was over, I had my mind made up,” Paylor told The Wolfpacker.
Paylor has an On3 NIL Valuation of $85K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
