NC State Athletics Director Boo Corrigan has agreed to a new contract, NC State announced on Friday.
Corrigan has led the Wolfpack athletics department since April of 2019. His new deal runs through June of 2029.
Boo Corrigan has led NC State to back-to-back top 20 finishes in the Learfield Directors’ Cup, which measures all-sport success. He was also the chair of the College Football Playoff committee each of the past two seasons.
“Under Boo’s outstanding leadership, NC State Athletics is experiencing new levels of competitive, academic and financial success,” Chancellor Randy Woodson said in a statement. “We are fortunate to have such an experienced and well-respected leader to help us navigate through the ever-changing landscape of college athletics.”
NC State has won 16 ACC titles during Corrigan’s time leading the athletics department. Boo Corrigan was named a Cushman & Wakefield Athletics Director of the Year for 2022.
He is thankful to be staying at NC State for years to come.
“I appreciate Chancellor Woodson and the Board of Trustees for their continued trust and support and to our coaches, staff and student-athletes who work tirelessly every day to strengthen our Pack,” Boo Corrigan said in a statement.

Prior to coming to NC State, Corrigan spent eight years as Director of Athletics at West Point.
Michigan AD Warde Manuel named new chair of overhauled College Football Playoff committee
News broke earlier this month that Michigan AD Warde Manuel was replacing NC State AD Boo Corrigan as the chair of the College Football Playoff committee.
“We are delighted that Warde will serve as chair,” outgoing CFP executive director Bill Hancock said in a release announcing the move. “He has been a valuable member of the committee last two years and that experience will serve him well in leading the group. As a former student-athlete, he will also be a good spokesperson to let fans know how the committee reached its rankings.”
Manuel will be chairing the committee — and therefore serve as it’s public voice — during a time of big change for the CFP, as the event moves from four teams to 12 in the 2024-25 season. Manuel is entering his third and final year on the CFP selection committee.
“My first two years on the committee have been a great experience,” Manuel said in the release. “I have so much respect for the time and effort each committee member puts in each week because of their commitment to the game. I’m honored to be asked to serve as committee chair.”
