NC State defensive lineman Red Hibbler enters NCAA Transfer Portal
NC State Wolfpack defensive lineman Red Hibbler has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.
Red Hibbler played high school football at Louisville (MS) SCHOOL, where he was a four-star prospect in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Over his two seasons with NC State, Hibbler accumulated 19 total tackles, 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles, although most of his stats came during the 2023 campaign. He’ll be hoping to get back to that standard in 2025 with a new team.

In other NC State related news, tight end Juice Vereen plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. Vereen spent the past two seasons with the Wolfpack and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

The tight end appeared in 10 games as a true freshman but would go on to play only two games this past year. That allowed him to used a redshirt season to preserve a year of eligibility.
Vereen flashed his potential in a game against Notre Dame as a true freshman, leading NC State with four catches for 65 yards. However, those would be the only stats he recorded in his career with the Wolfpack.
Vereen was a four-star prospect in the 2023 class out of Havelock (NC) High School. He ranked as the No. 319 overall player and No. 18 tight end in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
