NC State lands 4-star OL Jacarrius Peak
It went down to the wire, but in the end, Valdosta, Ga. four-star offensive lineman Jacarrius Peak chose NC State over Louisville.
The connection with the coaches played a big role in his decision.
“I had great visits to both schools and I could really see myself at either school, but the coaches at NC State made a difference,” Peak told On3. “From coach Garrison (offensive line) to coach Dave Doeren to coach Falaise (recruiting staff), they all made me feel important.
“I really connected with coach Garrison and the feeling I had around those coaches was very important.”
The No. 211 prospect in the On300 made his decision Monday night. Coach Garrison got the news first, then coach Doeren. The Wolfpack was happy to have Peak.
“Everyone welcomed me. After talking with coach Garrison about my decision, I called coach Doeren and told him I was coming home.

“Then all the other coaches started hitting me up and talking to me about the decision. Everyone was excited and they all made me feel welcome.”
Now the talented lineman is ready to get to work in Raleigh and do big things in the ACC.
“This is what I worked for,” Peak said. “I am going to keep working hard. NC State is where I feel at home at and that is where I want to go to work.
“I fit in so well there, it is a different feeling for me there, and I am excited about working hard, playing hard, and winning games at NC State.”
