NC State wide receiver Jakolbe Baldwin enters NCAA Transfer Portal
NC State Wolfpack wide receiver Jakolbe Baldwin has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.
Baldwin played high school football at Richmond Senior (NC), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1190 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Baldwin has also worked on the defensive side of the football at safety. It remains to be seen where he’ll play at his next stop, wherever that may be after moving on from the Wolfpack.

In other NC State related news, tight end Juice Vereen plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos has learned. Vereen spent the past two seasons with the Wolfpack and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

The tight end appeared in 10 games as a true freshman but would go on to play only two games this past year. That allowed him to used a redshirt season to preserve a year of eligibility.
Vereen flashed his potential in a game against Notre Dame as a true freshman, leading NC State with four catches for 65 yards. However, those would be the only stats he recorded in his career with the Wolfpack.
Vereen was a four-star prospect in the 2023 class out of Havelock (NC) High School. He ranked as the No. 319 overall player and No. 18 tight end in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
