2025 WR Bryson Hayes commits to Nebraska Cornhuskers
Maize (Kan.) three-star wide receiver Bryson Hayes has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, he tells On3.
“I loved Nebraksa from the first time I was up there,” Hayes said. “It’s a place I can go and get development to be the best player I can be. The culture at Nebraska is something that can’t be matched many places. Playing in sellout crowds is hard to beat.
“Also, playing in some of the biggest games against some of the best competition in the country is something i’ve dreamed of since a kid.”
Hayes has an official visit scheduled to Lincoln for June 14 and has previously visited the Huskers multiple times. He was back on campus last week for a spring practice.
“I was in Lincoln for practice on Tuesday,” Hayes told HuskerOnline. “It was good to see how they work up there and some everyday life. I also got to see how Coach Garret McGuire teaches his players and he coaches them well.”

Hayes is the nation’s No. 838 overall prospect, No. 134 wide receiver and No. 9 recruit from Kansas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Nebraska continues recruiting momentum
He is the fifth prospect to join Nebraska’s 2025 class, following up Saturday’s commitment from Lincoln (Neb.) Southwest three-star athlete Jackson Carpenter. Each of the other three commitments also all hail from Nebraska like Carpenter — Omaha (Neb.) North three-star defensive lineman Tyson Terry, Omaha (Neb.) Millard North three-star safety Caden VerMaas and Wahoo (Neb.) Bishop Neumann three-star running back Conor Booth.
Jackson Carpenter feels a connection to the program from his father.
“There is the obvious connection with my dad playing there,” Carpenter said. “It’s always felt like home. The program is on the right track to success with this coaching staff and the talent. I think something special is going to happen in the next couple of years.”
