4-star IOL Preston Taumua commits to Nebraska Cornhuskers

The top-ranked player in Hawaii is heading to Lincoln. Waipahu (Hawaii) four-star interior offensive lineman Preston Taumua has announced his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers after what has been a quiet recruitment. He chose the ‘Huskers over Oregon, Alabama, Arizona and Auburn
Taumua is the No. 236 overall prospect and No. 16 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The 6-foot-3.5, 300-pound Taumua had a busy month of June, taking official visits across the country. Destinations included Arizona, Auburn, Nebraska and Oregon.

Taumua currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $58K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). Taumua joins Rhule’s first full class
Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule is working on his first full recruiting cycle in Lincoln and has thus far put together a top-25 class. The Cornhuskers rank in the top half of the Big Ten with commitment from now six blue-chip prospects.
Ainsworth (Neb.) four-star tight end Carter Nelson committed at the end of June and headlines this group. DeSoto (Texas) four-star corner Mario Buford and Bellevue (Neb.) West receiver Dae’vonn Hall both also added their pledges in June.
