4-star WR Demitrius Bell locks in official vist to Nebraska
Matt Rhule and a couple of assistant coaches traveled to Nashville Monday to meet with four-star wide receiver Demitrius Bell. The No. 216 prospect in the On300 chose not to sign early making him one of the top unsigned prospects heading into the Feb. 1 Signing Day.
The 6-foot, 175-pound playmaker out of McGavock High is down to Alabama, Kentucky and Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers will have their shot this weekend.
“I like the atmosphere at Nebraska and how coach Rhule is trying to rebuild the program,” Bell told On3.

Bell said he and coach Rhule connected instantly and that he is looking forward to this weekend in Lincoln.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Kentucky, a school Bell has visited a couple of times. He took his official visit to Lexington back in October.
Bell plans to announce his decision on Feb. 2.
On3’s Scouting Report
Two-way playmaker whose twitch and suddenness pop off the screen along with his ball skills and ability to put the ball in the endzone on any given play. Natural pass catcher who has soft hands. Totaled 35 receptions for 498 yards and 7 touchdowns during his junior season. Phenomenal with the ball in his hands after the catch. Makes defenders miss with his hip fluidity and ability to pull through arm tackles. Not much of a threat on 50-50 balls and question top-end speed. Projects to a Z-type receiver or potentially a slot weapon at the next level. High floor prospect who will be a significant role player early on in his career. Plays basketball as well.
