Class of 2024 RB Kewan Lacy commits to Nebraska
Three-star running back Kewan Lacy of Lancaster (TX) High announced his commitment to Nebraska Monday afternoon.
The 5-foot-11, 205 pounder chose the Cornhuskers over Ole Miss, Arizona State, and Baylor.
Lacy on why he chose Nebraska
“What stood out the most about Nebraska was the people for sure,” Lacy said. “They love football down there and the coaches I connect with on a deeper level outside of football. It’s like family over there and it’s a NFL system there. Half the coaches have been in the NFL to coach and that’s somewhere I would like to be. I feel coach Ej can develop me right as a young man and a player and I picture myself doing great things.”
Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him
“My relationship with the staff is good,” Lacy said. “I feel like everyone there is gonna give me their all and make me into the person I want to be. I’m close with coach McGuire and coach Ej. They’re gonna use me in their scheme by utilizing all my talents like catching out the back field and lining up at receiver. As well as being under center and just running the ball. I love it.”
The Lone Star State running back joins coach Matt Rhule and the Cornhuskers’ top 25 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star safety Roger Gradney, four-star cornerback Mario Buford, and others.
