On3 4-star WR Demitrius Bell commits to Nebraska
Nashville (Tenn.) McGavock four-star wide receiver Demitrius Bell has committed to Nebraska, he announced on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 175-pounder told On3 he chose the Cornhuskers over Kentucky, Ole Miss, Alabama and Georgia.
“This atmosphere is great, it’s a football city, and the fans love Nebraska football,” he said. “The coaches are great; they show that they care about you and that it’s not just about football to them. Coach Rhule is a great head coach and is turning the program around. I want to be there for that.”

Bell is the No. 452 overall prospect and No. 67 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 11 player in Tennessee.
On3 rates Bell higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. He isn’t ranked in the 2023 On300, but does rate as a four-star prospect and the No. 54 wide receiver nationally.
Demitrius Bell Scouting Summary
“Two-way playmaker whose twitch and suddenness pop off the screen along with his ball skills and ability to put the ball in the endzone on any given play. Natural pass catcher who has soft hands. Totaled 35 receptions for 498 yards and 7 touchdowns during his junior season. Phenomenal with the ball in his hands after the catch. Makes defenders miss with his hip fluidity and ability to pull through arm tackles. Not much of a threat on 50-50 balls and question top-end speed. Projects to a Z-type receiver or potentially a slot weapon at the next level. High floor prospect who will be a significant role player early on in his career. Plays basketball as well.“
