Although likely being one of the top available players in college football had he entered the portal, Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola said there was never a thought of him leaving Lincoln.

Raiola again addressed his status with the Cornhuskers while speaking with the media on Thursday. He referenced the Instagram story that he posted on the day that the transfer cycle started as he wanted to let everyone know that he wasn’t going anywhere and still isn’t now.

“You know, honestly, it was unfortunate that I had to, you know, kind of reassure everyone I was here, you know,” Raiola said. “I never officially entered and never really was shopping around. So, um, yeah, I don’t really have much to say other than, um, you know, that whole kind of deal was kind of out of my control.”

Raiola lived up to much of his rating as a prospect as a true freshman at Nebraska. He arrived as a five-star prospect ranked in the top 25 and as the No. 3 QB in the 2024 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Then, in a dozen starts for the ‘Huskers this season, Raiola was 253-380 (66.6%) when passing for 2,595 yards, a dozen touchdowns, and ten interceptions. His statistics fell off, as the team did too, after the first third of the fall. Still, he showed much promise in his debut year. It was still enough to help get the program into the postseason for the first time since 2016.

Again, if he had entered, Raiola would be one of the most sought-after transfers in the nation. He’s not going anywhere, though, as he’ll remain as the Cornhuskers’ QB1.

“You know, I’m playing quarterback at Nebraska,” said Raiola.

Raiola posts he is ‘all in’ with Nebraska

As rumors surrounding the transfer portal swirled, Dylan Raiola confirmed that he isn’t going anywhere.

Posting on his Instagram story on December 9th, Raiola said that he’s “all in” with Nebraska.
