As rumors surrounding the NCAA transfer portal swirl, Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola confirmed that he isn’t going anywhere.

Posting on his Instagram story on Monday night, Raiola said that he’s “all in” on the Cornhuskers moving forward. Check out the post by clicking on his profile picture here.

Raiola was Nebraska’s quarterback for his entire true freshman season. He completed 253 of his passes for 2,595 yards, 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while leading the ‘Huskers to a 6-6 record during the regular season.

Many see Raiola as the centerpiece to head coach Matt Rhule’s offense for the next couple of years. Looking to improve on what they accomplished this season in 2025, Monday’s announcement is a reassuring one as the transfer portal window officially opens.

Up next for Nebraska is a matchup against Boston College on Dec. 28 in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstriple Bowl. Kickoff is set for Noon ET live on ABC.

Before Raiola came to Nebraska, he had an interesting recruitement as a well-known five-star prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 3 QB in his class and No. 21 player overall in the cycle. He was at one time committed to both Ohio State and Georgia.

The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. It’s no surprise that rumors surrounded Raiola’s name about the portal, as more than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers. Whether those numbers will reflect equally during the winter and upcoming spring windows remains to be seen.
