Former Nebraska LB Will Compton predicts Dylan Raiola commits to Huskers
Former Nebraska and NFL linebacker Will Compton is high on Nebraska’s future under Matt Rhule and the way he recruits.
During a segment from Pardon My Take’s latest episode from the Arizona Bowl, Compton gave Rhule high-praise saying that he’d rather have him than any other coach that the Cornhuskers could have hired.
“I’m 100% all in on Matt Rhule,” Compton said.
Compton went on and called his shot by saying that Rhule and the Cornhuskers will land the No. 1 player in the 2024 class, Chandler (Ariz) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola.
“I think we’re going to be in on the top recruit for 2024, Raiola…I think we are going to land him. His uncle is the offensive line coach at Nebraska.
“He was an Ohio State kid. Listen, I have zero connection to the kid, but in my gut I think thats the centerpiece.”

Raiola had been a longtime commitment to Ohio State before decommitting to from the Buckeyes on Dec. 17.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently still has Ohio State as the favorite for Raiola at 48% but Nebraska is a close second sitting at 37%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
Raiola currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $247K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
