Isaiah Neyor isn’t picking any sides in the Nebraska quarterback battle. The Cornhuskers receiver feels he has great chemistry with all the QBs on the team who he’s gotten reps with this fall camp and in the spring.

Dylan Raiola and Heinrich Haarberg are the two frontrunners in the competition, while Daniel Kaelin was also a part of the spring battle. Neyor didn’t say any names when asked about his chemistry with the quarterback on Friday, but he had all positive things to say nonetheless.

“They’re all great,” the receiver said. “Each and every one of them, they have a great arm. Things have just been going great. I’m just glad to be out there with those guys and I’m having fun with them.”

Haarberg brings starting experience with him in the battle after taking over for the final eight games last year. The Kearney, Nebraska native threw for 977 yards and seven touchdowns to seven interceptions while leading Nebraska to a 5-3 record.

Although those numbers aren’t too impressive, Haarberg made up for his lack of production through the air with his legs. He rushed for 477 yards and five touchdowns.

Railoa brings in the most hype of the two as a five-star prospect who is the son of former Huskers offensive lineman Dominic Raiola. He ranked as the No. 3 quarterback in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The 6-foot-3 quarterback originally committed to Georgia before flipping to play for Nebraska. He is who many expect to win the battle with Nebraska’s season set to kick off in less than three weeks against UTEP on Aug. 31.

Whichever player ends up winning the competition could end up throwing quite a bit to Neyor. He joins the Cornhuskers as a transfer from Texas who ranks No. 546 overall and as a top 100 receiver according to On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Neyor played only one game for the Longhorns over the past two seasons after suffering an injury in fall camp of 2022. Prior to that, he had a breakout year at Wyoming in 2021 to catch 44 passes for 878 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The receiver is expected to start for Nebraska and will hope to regain his form from that season. No matter what quarterback is throwing to him, he’s confident he can.
