Chander (Ariz.) five-star quarterback and Ohio State commit Dylan Raiola is spending this weekend at Nebraska for the Cornhuskers’ game against Illinois. Raiola, who committed to the Buckeyes in May, has numerous family members with him in Lincoln.

The group includes his father, Dominic Raiola — an All-American offensive lineman at Nebraska before playing 14 seasons with the Detroit Lions — and Donovan Raiola, his uncle and the Cornhuskers’ offensive line coach. On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons also reported that Raiola’s family from Hawaii have flown in for the game.

Nebraska is attempting to continue the Raiola family legacy in Lincoln, as the program recently offered Raiola’s brother and Chandler quarterback Dayton Raiola, a member of the class of 2026. It marked Dayton’s first collegiate offer.

Raiola is the No. 1 overall prospect and No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked the same in the 2024 On300.

The 6-foot-3, 225 pound signal-caller has an On3 NIL Valuation of $266K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Dylan Raiola On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Dylan Raiola:

“Advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school underclassman. Looks like the top quarterback prospect and overall arm talent in the 2024 cycle early on. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Has a natural, loose throwing motion with unique arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Already has a deep catalog of throws as a rising junior in high school. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field.

“Played both under center and in the shotgun as a sophomore. Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a sophomore, not running for many yards. Turned in one of the more productive sophomore seasons among top 2024 quarterbacks. The son of 14-year NFL center Dominic Raiola. Also a standout baseball player as a pitcher and catcher.”
