Matt Rhule provides injury update on Nick Henrich, Jimari Butler, Teddy Prochazka
Heading into a highly anticipated showdown with Colorado this weekend, Nebraska coach Matt Rhule provided an injury update on three key players: Nick Henrich, Jimari Butler and Teddy Prochazka.
All three should be available and ready to play against the Buffaloes.
“Yeah, Jimari and Nick are up, they’re ready to play,” Rhule said. “Jimari and Nick are up, great news for us. Jimari and Nick are up, Teddy’s up. Anything beyond that would just be like coaching decision. Those guys are in shape.”
Rhule praised the team’s medical staff for having them available again so quickly, though he noted he was equally impressed with the kind of shape each of the three players returned in once they were off the injury update.
“I’ll be honest with you, our medical staff, our training room staff, we hired Chris Peduzzi this offseason who was with the Eagles for a long time, along with Drew Hamblin who has been here,” Rhule said. “They’re pretty elite, so when the guys come back they’re in really good shape. Jimari is full go.”
The healthy additions will be welcome, especially at linebacker.
Henrich was a team captain as a sophomore in 2022 prior to suffering a season-ending injury. He was coming off a terrific redshirt freshman campaign in which he logged 99 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and a half sack.

In four seasons, Henrich has logged 162 tackles, 7.0 tackles for a loss and 0.5 sacks.
He’s not the only productive linebacker on the injury update, though, as Butler has also been quite good. Butler began appearing as a redshirt freshman in 2022.
He tallied nine tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss and a pass breakup in 2022 but was poised for a bigger role this fall before an injury kept him out of the season opener.
Prochazka is an offensive tackle who has suffered back-to-back season-ending injuries. Despite that, he has managed to make five starts in the last two years, appearing in eight total games.
