Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule watches his team against Ohio State Buckeyes during the first quarter of their game at Ohio Stadium on Oct 26, 2024, in Columbus.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will be without a pair of senior offensive stalwarts for the Pinstripe Bowl vs. Boston College, according to head coach Matt Rhule.

Rhule announced senior receiver Isaiah Neyor and senior offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua won’t participate in the Cornhuskers’ upcoming bowl game after opting out to prepare for the 2025 NFL Draft, according to HuskeryOnline’s Sean Callahan.

Neyor, who finished the regular season as Nebraska’s second-leading receiver with 34 receptions for 455 yards and a team-high five touchdowns this season, will turn his attention to draft preparations, while Mazzccua recently underwent shoulder surgery.

Neyor leaves after just one season in Lincoln after transferring from Texas following an injury-plagued 2023 that saw him manage just one catch for 14 yards before missing the rest of the season. Meyer had a breakout 2021 campaign with Wyoming, leading the Cowboys in receiving with 44 catches for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns that season.

Mazzccua appeared in nine games this season, including a pair of starts at right guard, while serving as the Huskers’ sixth offensive lineman. Mazzccua also leaves after just one season at Nebraska after transferring from Florida, where he started 11 of 12 games at right guard and played a total of 743 snaps with the Gators in 2023. He began his career at Baylor, including starting 10 of 11 games at guard in 2022, where he graded out as the Big 12’s second-best guard according to Pro Football Focus.

Dylan Raiola addresses ‘unfortunate’ rumors of possibly transferring from Nebraska

Although likely being one of the top available players in college football had he entered the portalNebraska’s Dylan Raiola said there was never a thought of him leaving Lincoln.

Raiola again addressed his status with the Cornhuskers while speaking with the media on Thursday. He referenced the Instagram story that he posted on the day that the transfer cycle started as he wanted to let everyone know that he wasn’t going anywhere and still isn’t now.

“You know, honestly, it was unfortunate that I had to, you know, kind of reassure everyone I was here, you know,” Raiola said. “I never officially entered and never really was shopping around. So, um, yeah, I don’t really have much to say other than, um, you know, that whole kind of deal was kind of out of my control.”
