Plenty of college football fans across the country are curious where the head coaches in the different towns and cities across America like to sit down and grab some food during their free time. A few days ago, Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule let fans know one of his favorite spots that he’s found in Lincoln, Nebraska. Towards the end of the press conference, when he was discussing his wife coming into town to visit him a few times, he let everyone know how much they love the restaurant DISH.

“My wife flew in for the Huskers event and for my birthday. And we went to DISH downtown. Elite. Elite restaurant….If you haven’t been there, go,” Rhule said.

The special shoutout is likely to bring plenty of Husker fans who have never heard of the restaurant in to try it out. If you’d like to check out the menu items for DISH, you can find their website here.

The description on their website reads: “DISH is a modern American restaurant in the heart of downtown Lincoln on the corner of 11th and O streets. Led by Rachel Mcgill, who has been named a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef: Midwest Award, the culinary team presents an ever-changing menu that features innovative, upscale American cuisine with a focus on local, sustainable products.”

“The team at DISH strives to provide an unmatched dining experience from start to finish. Our dedication to our guests shines through our sustainable, local, seasonally-driven menu; creative, handcrafted cocktails; and professional and knowledgeable service staff. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve our friends and community through these unprecedented times.”

The menu does look delicious and the Miso Seared Salmon sounds really good with yellow curry, chile crunch, and turnips.

Good for Rhule letting everyone know about his favorite restaurant in town. People in the restaurant industry are incredibly hard-working and the profit margins are razor thin. It’s always a good day to thank a member of the restaurant industry that serves their community. They serve an incredibly important purpose, no question about it.

Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers kick off their 2023 campaign against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. That one is slated for Thursday, August 31st.
