Nebraska interim head coach Mickey Joseph had a strong message for his team after practice Wednesday. After taking over following the firing of Scott Frost after Week 2, Joseph lost his first game to Oklahoma the following week 49-14.

But despite the blowout nature of the loss and the fact the Cornhuskers are already 1-3, Joseph is not getting discouraged. That much was evident Wednesday, as the Nebraska Football Twitter account released a video of a passionate Joseph trying to motivate his team after practice.

“Hunt or be hunted,” Joseph said in the video. “We’re gonna f***ing hunt.”

Nebraska is coming off a bye in Week 4, which couldn’t have come at a better time. With all the change and negative press over the past few weeks, the team likely needed some time to regroup.

The Cornhuskers find themselves on a two-game losing streak, but will hope to right the ship beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday when they face Indiana.

Mickey Joseph: Night, morning, we have to play football

Coming off a bye week, Nebraska is getting ready to re-enter Big Ten play against Indiana. Interim head coach Mickey Joseph is excited about the opportunity. In fact, he’s ready to play any time of the day, including morning, afternoon, and night.

While speaking to the media, Mickey Joseph was asked about coaching his first night game at Nebraska as a head coach and if it felt different.

“No,” Mickey Joseph said. “It doesn’t feel different because, at the end of the day, it’s football–a football game. Not trying to be disrespectful, but night, morning, we have to play football.”

“It’s always special to me when I can walk into Memorial Stadium. It’s always special. Night, morning, afternoon, but just this homecoming, it’s a night game. Like I said, we’re gonna be excited to be back in front of the fans.”

Nebraska will host Indiana at 7:30 PM EST on Saturday, October 1st.
