Mickey Joseph: Night, morning, we have to play football
Coming off a bye week, Nebraska is getting ready to re-enter Big Ten play against Indiana. Interim head coach Mickey Joseph is excited about the opportunity. In fact, he’s ready to play any time of the day, including morning, afternoon, and night.
While speaking to the media, Mickey Joseph was asked about coaching his first night game at Nebraska as a head coach and if it felt different.
“No,” Mickey Joseph said. “It doesn’t feel different because, at the end of the day, it’s football–a football game. Not trying to be disrespectful, but night, morning, we have to play football.”

“It’s always special to me when I can walk into Memorial Stadium. It’s always special. Night, morning, afternoon, but just this homecoming, it’s a night game. Like I said, we’re gonna be excited to be back in front of the fans.”

Mickey Joseph says Nebraska deserves a national coaching search
Mickey Joseph, a Nebraska alumnus, would love the opportunity to be the next Nebraska head coach on a full-time basis. At the same time, he does believe that the program deserves a national coaching search.
“Well, we always talk about blocking out the noise. So we’re not going to worry about who the search firm is talking to. Because, like I said before, Nebraska deserves to have a national search,” Mickey Joseph said.
“Our interview right now is in the next eight games. That’s your interview. So, we can’t do anything about that. We also talked to them; control what you can control. We can’t control that, so we’re going to block out the noise, and we’re going to focus on Indiana.”
