It has been a seismic few days for the Nebraska football program. On Saturday, the Cornhuskers lost 45-42 to Georgia Southern. Head coach Scott Frost was fired the following day after recording a 16-31 record in just over four seasons in Lincoln. Wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph was then elevated to interim head coach.

While this decision may have an impact on Nebraska’s recruiting efforts, multiple prospects are staying in the Cornhuskers’ 2023 recruiting class amid the coaching change.

The list includes Vivian (La.) North Caddo four-star wide receiver Omarion Miller, Argyle (Texas) four-star defensive lineman Riley Van Poppel, Lincoln (Neb.) Lincoln Southeast three-star offensive lineman Gunnar Gottula, Cypress (Texas) Cy Woods three-star linebacker Dylan Rogers, Springfield (Mass.) Springfield Central three-star quarterback William Watson III, Scottsbluff (Neb.) three-star offense tackle Brock Knutson, Omaha (Neb.) Creighton Preparatory School three-star interior offensive lineman Sam Sledge and Aurora (Colo.) Regis Jesuit three-star linebacker Hayden Moore.

They all shared a graphic on their social media accounts that includes the words “All N.” Miller was one of the first to do so on Wednesday afternoon.

Miller is the No. 167 overall prospect and No. 25 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 11 player in Louisiana.

The wideout is currently the highest-rated-prospect in the Cornhuskers’ class. The group’s next-best recruit is Staten Island (N.Y.) IMG Academy four-star EDGE Cameron Lenhardt, the No. 304 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

LSU previously had a commitment from Miller. When he decommitted from the Tigers, the Cornhuskers worked hard for his commitment. One of the main Nebraska staffers leading the charge was Joseph, a Louisiana native.
